OLYMPIA NEW MAIN AND NAME SPONSOR

Lichtenvoorde – Jan. 5, 2024 – During Longa ’30’s New Year’s reception, the time had come; the answer to the question that had been keeping Lichtenvoorde and the surrounding area pretty busy for the past few weeks had finally been answered: who will be the new main and name sponsor for the international soccer tournament for the under 12 youth, which was previously organized by RKZVC and known as the Seesing Tournament? The brand new tournament organization is proud to announce that it has found a valuable successor in Olympia for the next 5 years. The tournament will thus be renamed the ‘Olympia Talent Cup’.

Talent Development

Robert Heinst, franchisee of several Olympia branches in Achterhoek, Twente and Liemers, is very pleased with this opportunity: “It fits seamlessly with our national marketing strategy which is grafted onto talent development. Every person has talent and it is our daily work to enable this talent to develop optimally. I see clear similarities in the ambitions and values of the tournament with Olympia. Training and making work of talent are central. In addition, every day we create opportunities for and make an impact on everyone. I am super happy that Olympia can contribute to this tournament, where together we can see youth players break through and at the same time put the region on the map.”

Nice field of participants

During the New Year’s reception, the field of participants for the first edition of the Olympia Talent Cup was also announced. The under 12 teams of the following well-known clubs will compete against each other in two pools: Ajax, PSV, AZ, KRC Genk, RSC Anderlecht, OSC Lille, PAOK Saloniki, Sparta Prague, de Graafschap and the under 13 of host Longa ’30. The organization is very pleased that these clubs have confirmed their participation. “As a board, we believe that this is an opening edition we can rightly be proud of. This contributes to the fact that – for both Longa ’30 and the public, the current and future participating clubs – we are going to give a wonderful calling card,” Dennis concludes.

Crucial step in the preparation

Dennis Seesing, chairman of the foundation board responsible for organizing the Olympia Talent Cup, is excited with this crucial step in the preparation. “A main sponsor is essential for the tournament. We are therefore pleased that we were able to tie such a great party to us for the long term. Their connection with talent development and contribution to sports sponsorship – such as Olympia’s main sponsorship of the Ajax youth – naturally fit in beautifully. We expect that our cooperation will optimally contribute to our main objectives: a tournament that, through an organic process, each year again a quality improvement and also promotes the connection between everyone
